Tra i varii 1000-8000 serie di leghe d'aluminiu dispunibili, ci sò trè leghe chì sò particularmente adattati per fà barche. Questi trè ligami sò 5052 foglia d'aluminiu, 5083 foglia d'aluminiu, è 6061 foglia d'aluminiu.
